Haryana to train Cooperative bodies on RTI implementation
Chandigarh, May 17 (UNI) For the effective and efficient implementation of Right to Information Act by the Cooperative Institutions, the Haryana Government has earmarked a sum of Rs two lakh for conducting training programmes to fully acquaint the staff of the Cooperative Department.
Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation Meena Mandal said the Cooperative Institutions had extreme public accountability as these institutions were directly dealing with the people for the proper implementation of many of the welfare schemes launched by the State Government.
Similarly, these institutions needed to be imparted training on Right to Information Act to appropriately satisfy any public queries regarding the functioning of the institutions which were serving up to the grass root level.
The State Government had decided to conduct intensive training programmes on Right to information Act for the staff of these institutions, she added.
Ms Mandal said that training would be provided under the State Plan scheme "Training to Cooperative Staff for RTI Act" and the entire financing of the scheme would be borne by the State Government.
