Four children drown in Najafgarh drain
New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Four children, aged between 12-14 years, drowned in a drain in Najafgarh area of South-West Delhi while playing, this evening.
According to the Fire Brigade, the incident took place near Nangli Dairy next to the fish market there at about 1730 hrs.
The bodies of all the four -- Amit, Surjit (both 12), Feroz (13) and Jitendra (14), were fished out and sent for postmortem to the Rao Tula Ram Hospital, it added.
On the other hand, police said six boys, residents of closeby Bhagwati Vihar, were 'swimming' in the Najafgarh drain in Das Garden area when the incident took place.
However, two of them were rescued, it added.
