CM urged to convene a meeting to resolve KSOU issue

Mysore, May 17 (UNI) Former Union Minister V Sreenivasa Prasad today urged Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to convene immediately a meeting of top officials of Education, Finance Department and Higher Education Minister to solve the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) temporary employees issue.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that being a head of the State, Mr Kumaraswamy should take serious note of the issue and convene meeting of concerned officials, KSOU Vice Chancellor and Registrar to solve the issue.

He said that it was an old issue and even it was brought to the notice of Mr Kumaraswamy, when he was JD(S) Working President and also to the Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who was leader of the opposition, had written letter to the then Chief Minister N Dharam Singh on this issue.

Mr Prasad said that the issue should be solved with firm decision instead of passing on the buck on others.
