Certificate course in software testing offered

Chennai, May 17 (UNI) The city-based Softsmith Infotech, a software services provider, specialising in independent third party testing and quality assurance services, is conducting a Certificate course in Software Testing for Students aspiring to become Software Test Engineers.

The company provided the course as a part-time programme with one and a half hours per day (theory), besides hands on practicals.

The course duration was eight weeks and the fee was Rs 7,900, a company release here said today.

Graduates from any stream with an interest towards software testing could join the course, it said, adding that placement support was given to students who perform well in the training sessions.

Mr S Sriram, HR Manager of Softsmith, said "the teaching faculties are software test engineers and test leads with real time experience in testing company projects.

Besides, testing professionals from leading Software Companies give guest lectures and share their experience. Real time projects were given to students to get hands on experience in identifying the defects in software applications, he said.
