Bus mishap turns out to be rumour

Rajahmundry, May 17 (UNI) A rumour that a private bus fell into River Godavari after hitting the railings of the road-cum-rail bridge here turned out to be only a rumour, this morning.

However, Traffic Circle Inspector Satyanand who rushed to the spot with the staff found nothing. The fishermen there told the police that the private bus which was on its way from Rajahmundry to Kovvur had hit the railings, reversed and continued the journey.

Mr Satyanand told UNI that the Roads and Buldings Department was informed of the damage to the railings.

The electronic and print media scribes also rushed to the spot along with the rescue personnel.
