BMC health department gears up for monsoons

Mumbai, May 17 (UNI) With the monsoon nearing, the BMC's health department has initiated measures to tackle rain-related diseases.

BMC Health Committee chairman Parshuram Desai said the civic body had started making preparations since April itself.

The BMC has organised meetings with the various departments in the health sector and has also involved the services of many private bodies like the Indian Medical Association, Lions Club, Rotary Club and others.

The BMC has also provided training to hospital staff in BMC-run hospitals.
