BJP to organise statewide agitation on power issue

Mumbai, May 17 (UNI) Maharashtra unit of BJP has decided to organise statewide agitation to project 'government's failure' to make any effort to generate additional power in last seven years.

Talking to reporters after the meeting of the officials of the state BJP executive committee, leader of the BJP legislature party Eknath Khadse said the BJP would also' gherao' tehsil offices.

He said atleast 40 lakh tonnes of sugarcane was uncrushed and added that under the leadership of national general secretary a 'Burn sugarcane' agitation would be undertaken in Aurangabad and Beed districts.
