BJP leader shot at

Varanasi, May 17 (UNI) A young BJP leader was shot at by unidentified assailants in Cantonment area here this evening.

Vivek Narayan Singh (32), the city president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) -- BJP's youth wing -- was attacked near Taj Ganges hotel, police said.

The BJYM leader was rushed to a private hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.
