Barclays launches retail banking services in India

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Global financial service provider Barclays today launched its retail banking services in India with a new range of credit cards, loans and investment services products here.

The bank will be launching three credit cards - Barclays Gold, Barclays Smart Budget and Barclays Premier League Barclaycard.

The plan also includes loans aimed at minimising documentation and speeding the approval process. The investment services would provide value addeed distribution services to the Indian investors.

''India is one of the world's most exciting markets for retail financial services. The country offers significant potential across customer and market segments which Barclays is well placed to maximise. We are developing products for the very affluent, the mass affluent and the aspirational customer across market segment,'' said Barclays India Managing Director Samir Bhatia.
