9 booked on gang-rape charges

Akola, May 17 (UNI) Police have lodged a complaint against nine people at Talegaon Dawla village, after a minor girl alleged that they had kept her in illegal confinement and gang-raped her.

The girl, in her complaint, said that Prakash Nandne, Dinkar Nandne and seven others had illegally confined her for almost a month.

The girl said, on April 13, she was picked up on a motorcycle by the miscreants who kept her confined till May 16, and during the period they regularly gang-raped her.

The girl said she had managed to escape yesterday and immediately lodged a complaint with the Telhara police in Washim. The police have not made any arrests so far.
