3 held, 4 kg ganja seized

Chennai, May 17 (UNI) Police arrested three people and are searching for one more in a case relating to transporting four kg of ganja at Suburban Puzhal here today.7 Acting on a tip-off, a police party intercepted an autorickshaw and seized the contrabad valued at about Rs 50,000.

The arrested were identified as Gopi(43), Shakinsha (31) and auto driver Balachandar (27). However, the other occupant of the autorickshaw, Raghavan, managed to escape.

The accused confessed the crime and said they were transporting the contraband from Cholavaram to Royapuram. They were later remanded in judicial custody.
