Women voters outnumber men in five Rajasthan assembly segments

Jaipur, May 16 (UNI) The Sex ratio in Rajasthan may be one of the lowest in the country but at least in some Assembly constituencies, the women voters outnumber the male voters.

According to a recently released photovoters' list, women outnumber men in five Assembly constituencies in the state of which three fall in the Bhilwara district.

The Mandal Assembly segment in the district have 75,181 women voters while their male counterparts are lagging behind at 74,829.

Similarly in Sahada, as against 66,044 male voters, female voters number at 66,397. In comparison to 1,17,287 female voters in Bhilwara city seat their male counterparts trail at 1,08,508.

The other two constituencies are Ghatol Assembly segment in tribal dominated Banswara district and Ripur Assembly seat in Pali district.

In Ghatol women voters number at 93, 013 as against male voters of 92,159. Similarly in Raipur Assembly segment as against 65,152 male voters, women voters are calling the shots at 65,676.
