Vedanta full-year core earnings more than double
London, May 16: India-focused miner Vedanta Resources Plc met forecasts with a 145 per cent rise in annual core earnings, driven by high prices and volume growth, and said on Wednesday global demand for metals remained strong.

Vedanta said in a statement earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose to $2.703 billion in the year to March 31, on revenues up 76 per cent to $6.5 billion.
Vedanta will pay a final dividend of 20 cents, making the total dividend 75 percent higher at 35 cents.
