Uttarkhand Sikh Federation burns Dera Chief in effigy

Dehradun, May 16 (UNI) Uttarakhand Sikh Federation, taking strong exception to the Dera Saccha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's 'blasphemy'by imitating Guru Govind Singh at Bhatinda, burnt his effigy and demanded his arrest here today.

Scores of USF members gathered at Clock Tower sloganeering against the Dera Chief and burnt him in effigy. Spearheading the group one, Sunny Bindra said the incident has hurt the sentiments of Sikh community. He said the community would not forgive those who insulted Sikh Gurus and would protest at all levels. The protesting members also demanded the immediate arrest of Dera Chief.
