Ullal bypoll: One nomination rejected

Mangalore, May 16 (UNI) Nomination paper of a BJP dummy candidate for the June two byelection to the Ullal assembly seat was today rejected.

According to State Election Commission sources, the papers of BJP dummy candidate Premanand Shetty were rejected when the nominations were taken up for scrutiny.

The nominations of the official candidates of Congress, Janata Dal (Secular), BJP and CPI(M) and three independents were found to be in order.

May 18 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
