Two youth remanded to custody

Pune, May 16 (UNI) A local court today remanded two students of a Management Institute here to police custody till May 19 for the murder of their friend, Udit Bharati, last month.

Police said that Aditi Sharma and Pravin Khandelwal, both in their early twenties, mixed poison and offered it as Shirdi Sai Baba's''prasad'' to Udit, who unsuspectingly consumed it and died on April 24.

Aditi apparently had a live-in relationship with Udit but dumped him for Pravin, which annoyed Udit. He would object to their relations and the duo decided to get rid of him. police said.

A case has been registered at Nigdi Police Station.
