TRTM to invest Rs 40 cr on luxury buses

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) To promote heritage tourism among luxury travelers across the globe, city-based The Royal Time Machine Tourism Pvt Ltd (TRTM), a travel and hospitality company, today said it will invest Rs 40 crore over the next five years.

Launching two buses dubbed as 'The Royal Time Machines (RTMs)' with an initial investment of Rs 10 crore, TRTM's promoter Suparna Chopra said in the first phase of the project the vehicles will take the tourists around the national capital.

''We also plan to expand the service to cover other cities like Agra and Jaipur by next year. The planned investment for the project is Rs 40 crore,'' she told reporters here.

The RTMs, designed as mobile royal palaces, will have two different themes of the Rajput and the Mughal periods with the interiors giving the glimpses of that era with paintings, chandeliers, hukkas, surahis and lamps.

The luxury buses will charge about 160 dollars per person during the day while one will have to pay 165 dollars at night.

The RTMs will stop at historical monuments and archaeological sites like the Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Lodi Gardens, Safdarjung Tomb, Humayuns Tomb, Lotus Temple here. The evening tour will also feature a folk and classical programme.

The fee will include all cost associated with the tour including entry fee to the monuments, drinks and snacks on board, service charges and other applicable charges.
