Tension prevails following killing of motorist

Coimbatore, May 16 (UNI) Tension prevailed for about an hour this evening here when a police van hit a motorist, who was killed on the spot.

Police said the enraged local people pelted stones on the van and caused injury to the driver. The incident occurred at Karumbukadai area.

The injured driver was admitted to a hospital.

Police lathicharge the protestors to disperse them from the scene.
