Sugar prices up on reduced stocks supply

Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) Sugar prices edged up today on reduced stocks supply, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said.

Sugar in small grade rose by Rs two per quintal, while medium grade remained steady on moderate demand.

Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades hiked by Rs ten and Rs five per quintal respectively on higher advice.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,315/1,360, Medium grade Rs 1,345/1,410, Ex-mill: Small grade Rs 1,310/1,330, Medium grade Rs 1,340/1,375.
