Sonia should look at conduct of her own MPs: BJP
New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) Taking exception to Congress president Sonia Gandhi blaming the NDA for disruption of the proceedings in Parliament, the BJP said she should look at the conduct of ruling UPA MPs rather than blaming the Opposition.
BJP Parliamentary Party Spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said Mrs Gandhi's statement was prejudiced as she was not aware that it was Congress MPs who had disrupted the proceedings for days seeking discussion on Gujarat. ''Her statement reminds us of the famous Hindi saying 'ulta chor kotwal ko daante'', Mr Malhotra remarked.
Asked about the killing of Hindi speaking migrants in Asom, Mr Malhotra said the BJP was strongly distressed and anguished over the attack on migrants. It was not happening for the first time in this Congress-ruled state. ''They ascended to power on the strength of ULFA and hence they cannot act decisively against these disruptive forces,'' he charged.
