Sibu Soren leading "convenient" life in hospital : JPP

Ranchi, May 16 (UNI) The Jharkhand People's Party (JPP) today alleged that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president Sibu Soren was ''leading a lavish life'' in hospital and was conducting political activities from there.

Party president Mukesh here said the report, submitted by the medical team, was ''improper'' and contained several flaws.

He also said the entire medical exercise was intended to make Mr Soren more ''comfortable'' during his life imprisonment and he would write to the CBI in this regard.

He alleged that Mr Soren was leading a lavish life on the grounds of being a sick prisoner, saying the JMM leader was masterminding all political activities from the hospital.

The JPP leader questioned how a prisoner could conduct meetings in odd hours.

He alleged that the UPA-backed Madhu Koda goverment was like a puppet in Mr Soren's hand and every posting in the state was influnced by the JMM president.

He said the medical report, submitted by a team of the Central Coalfields hospital, was prepared when Mr Soren was Coal Minister, adding the CBI would be requested to inquire the role of the entire medical team.

Urging the Jharkhand High Court to take cognizance of the matter, the JPP leader said it amounted to contempt of court.
