Several duped, culprit flee with Rs 7 crore

Krishnagar, May 16 (UNI) Police today issued an arrest warrant against two persons for duping several people at Ranaghat in Nadia district of West Bengal.

Police said Amit Adhikari, the owner of a computer centre and his wife Sumana Basu had cheated several people in the name of providing jobs at their computer centre and fled after amassing six to seven crores of rupees.

Meanwhile, one of the employees had allegedly commited suicide by jumping into a river, police said adding that the body has not been yet recovered.

About 11 computers have been seized and the centre hs been sealed. Investigation was on to nab the duo, who were still at large, police added.
