Result of MUHS announced

Nashik, May 16 (UNI) Results of elections for various Authority Boards of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) have been declared.

The results of the 34 out of the 201 seats was declared yesterday. Out of the 201 candidates, 167 elected were unopposed, said MUHS Vice Chancellor Dr Mridula Phadke. For these 34 seats, 101 candidates contested the election.

Six members, each one from a revenue division, have been elected for the senate, these include: Mumbai Division Dr Mahendrasingh Chauhan (Alibaug), Pune Division Dr Gajanan Ekbote (Pune), Nashik Division Dr Dharmaji Mahajan (Ayurved College, Chalisgaon), Nagpur Division Dr Manohar Jumale (Nagpur), Amravati Division Dr P R Somvanshi.

Five professors, each one from every faculty, elected are as follows: Dentistry Dr RK Mahindra from Aurangabad, Ayurved and Unani Dr Sanjay Gumble from Yawatmal, other medicine Dr Reshma Desai for Mumbai. Principal Other Medicines Faculty- one seat Dr Reshma Ogle of Pune.

Academic Council: Modern Medicine Faculty Degree Pre-Clinical medicine subject (six seats) Dr Baig of Dhule, Dr Anil Bondade of Kolhapur, Dr RS Inamdar of Mumbai, Dr SS Pande of Amravati, Dr Adinath Suryakar of Solapur.

For six seats of degree Para-Clinical Head of Department, the elected are: Dr PR Bhise of Amravati, Dr Pradeep Dixit of Nagpur, Dr Prakashchandra Gade of Aurangabad, Dr RG Inamdar of Latur, Dr Mahajan of Nashik and Dr SD Nanandkar of Mumbai.

For Degree clinical subject seats of six HOD of Modern Medicine Faculty, the elected are Dr Shashank Dalvi of Nanded, Dr AV Dhaple of Amravati, Dr Vithal Dhake of Solapur, Dr Dilip Mhaiskar of Nanded, Dr Shekhar Rajderkar of Meeraj, Dr BO Tayde of Nagpur.

For six seats of HODs of Ayurved and Irani faculty, the elected are: Vaidya Alam Mohammad Shah of Mumbai, Vaidya Abdul Ansari of Pune, Vaidya Abdul Khan of Mumbai, Vaidya Khan of Mumbai, Vaidya Qureshi and Vaidya Saqib of Jalgaon.
