Rape accused IAS officer hospitalised
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, May 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer Vinod Katela, who was remanded in jail on the charge of raping a tribal woman, was admitted to hospital after he complained of chest pain.
Katela was arrested from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh on May 14 on the charge of raping a tribal woman, who worked as a hostel superintendent.
He was brought here yesterday and sent to judicial remand.
In her complaint, the woman stated that Katela, who was then posted as the Chief Executive Officer in the Zila Panchayat, sexually assaulted her on the pretext of marrying her.
Later, Katela refused to marry her.
