Raje woos US investors to Rajasthan

Jaipur, May 16(UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who is on a three day visit to the United States, had a series of one to one meetings with corporate honchos and potential investors.

According to official sources, Raje held a discussion with Mr Ashwin Patel of Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), a 38.5 billion dollars conglomerate in North America on opportunities for investing in the hotel sector. Sources said he was informed of the new hotel policy announced by the state government recently and was assured of a positive response.

Mr Greg Fox, Vice President Franchisee, Alex Kuhl Intercontinental Hotels showed interest in expanding their Holiday Inn model hotel chain in the state.

Brian Henderson, Seema Chetal and Praveen Chenna Reddy of Merrill Lynch also had discussions with the Chief Minister on the matter of floating infrastructure bonds.

The Chief Minister invited Dr Mattoo and Dr Bhatt of Kidney Dialisis Centre to establish filter manufacturing units in the state.

Century 21 Chief Executive Officer Mike Simson raised the matter of having established rules and procedures for setting up brokerages with the Chief Minister.

Dr Suman Sharma of Mt Sinai Hospital reaffirmed his intentions of setting up of an advanced cardiac care unit in Jaipur. Similarly, North Shore hospital management informed that the legal matters of their partnership with the government have been sorted out and the MoU would be inked shotrly, said the offcial source.
