President APJ Abdul Kalam arrives in Kolkata
Kolkata, May 16 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam arrived here tonight by a special Indian Air Force plane on a two-day visit to West Bengal.
Dr Kalam was received by West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi and state Finace Minister Ashim Dasgupta at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.
From the airport he was drove straight to Raj Bhawan where he will stay tonight.
The President will attend a function at IIT, Kharagpur, and later two programmes in Kolkata's Monobikah Kendra and Jadavpur University. In Monobikah Kendra he will spend some time with handicapped children after inaugurating a Centre for Inclusive Education.
