PALL Corporation launches Centre of Excellence

Bangalore, May 16 (UNI) The US based PALL Corporation, a global total fluid management solutions provider to both life sciences and industrial sector, has launched a new Centre of Excellence to serve the fast growing life sciences market.

Speaking after launching the world-class facility PAll Biopharmaceuticals Global President Ken Frank said the facility was in the line of global technical set-up designed to provide leading-edge solutions in life sciences spanning biopharmaceutical research, development and production.

The centre, the first of its kind in the country, included a state-of-the-art process proteomics laboratory made specifically to help customers to speed up drug discovery process. The centre also included a training facility with experts supporting Indian and regional customers, Mr Frank said.

Mr Frank said, the new facility, by applying latest technologies, would bring new and innovative drugs to the life sciences industry more efficiently.

President of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) M R S Rao, who spoke on the occasion lauded the Pall Corporation for setting up its facility here and expressed confidence that it would help make an inroad into the discovery of new molecules and drugs.

Pall BioSciences, Worldwide President Ken Harris, during the occasion said India's diverse market opportunities coupled with large pool of qualified scientists and engineers had provided an ideal climate for fueling innovation and growth. The Indian pharmaceutical industry was one of the fastest growing market in the world and biopharmaceutical industry throughout Asia was experiencing a major surge in activity.

The new centre would provide the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and discovery markets with a full range of total fluid management solutions and help them to achieve their goals, he said. The centre of excellence led by a highly specialised team of professionals, joins other Pall Life Sciences Centers of Excellence throughout Europe and the Western hemisphere in bringing together the latest technologies with process optimisation knowledge and expertise Mr Harris said.
