Narendra Patel is new BSP state unit president

Lucknow, May 16 (UNI) Narendra Singh Patel was today unanimously elected the new state unit president of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

His election took place in the presence of Ms Mayawati, party leaders and MLAs.

Mr Patel was till now the party co-ordinator for Karvi-Chitrakoot region.

He replaces Lalji Verma, who was on Sunday sworn in as a minister in the Mayawati government. Lalji Verma had become the state unit president after the sudden demise of Barku Ram Verma recently.
