Mulayam resigns from Gunnaur assembly seat

Lucknow, May 16 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) legislature party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav today resigned from the Gunnaur assembly seat in Badaun district.

Mr Yadav was elected both from the Bharthana and Gunnaur seats in the recently concluded state assembly poll. He had retained the Bharthana seat, which falls under his home district Etawah.

Talking to UNI here tonight, Principal Secretary (assembly) R P Pandey said the notification has been issued for the vacant Gunnaur seat.
