Minister serves meals at old age home on MK's jubilee
Chennai, May 16 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister Tamilarasi today organised a grand lunch for the inmates of Annai Illam, an old age home, marking the golden jubilee of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in the state legislature.
Personally serving the meals to the inmates, Ms Tamilarasi said she was very happy celebrating Mr Karunanidhi's jubilee and the completion of one year in office of the DMK Government.
Annai Illam Managing Trustee and Chennai Corporation Former councillor Rani Krishnan said the inmates were very jubilant and very happy to see meals being served by a state minister.
Every day people from many walks of life came to the home and fed the inmates to celeberate wedding anniversary, birthdays of their children and other occassions.
But this was the first time a Tamil Nadu Minister paid a private visit to the home and spent her valuable time with the inmates.
"We will be ever grateful to Mrs Tamilarasi," Ms Krishnan said.
