Man gets life imprisonment for killing elderly woman

Patna, May 16 (UNI) A local session court today sentenced a person to life imprisonment for killing an elderly woman.

Additional district and sessions judge of Patna B M Srivastava found guilty Vijay Paswan, a resident of Sigriyama village for killing Rampati Devi of the same village.

According to the charges, Rampati Devi succumbed to multiple injuries after she was allegedly hit by a heavy instrument by the convict on July one, 2003.

The reason behind the killing was said to be land dispute.
