Mizo: India's best colleges just a few clicks away

Aizawl, May 16: Students from far-flung areas of Mizoram can now join some of the best institutions of the country just by clicking the mouse.

Hughes Net Fusion, an e-learning institute, has opened a centre at Khatla near here through which one can join 39 courses at 11 major institutions in India.

Peter C.Lalrinmawia of Raisonne Electronics, the company which monitors the centre, said it would be easy for the students of remote areas to go for higher education.

He said most of the applicants are graduates and class XII students. There courses for engineers and executive level officials.

However, he said, a very less number of students have enrolled for different courses but more students would be attracted by creating awareness regarding the advantages of e-learning.

The e-learning is much cheaper as compared to campus courses besides it is easy to get an admission through this process.

While some of the courses are expensive and meant for executives there are also cheap and short term courses as well as coaching facilities for several entrance examinations.
