High Court fixes July 4 for hearing of Lalu-Rabri case
Patna, May 16 (UNI) Patna High Court today fixed July 4 as the next date for hearing of the disproportionate asset case against Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi.
A single bench of Justice Ramesh Kumar Datta fixed the next date for hearing after accepting the joint plea of the government and the accused.
Counsel of the Lalu-Rabri duo informed the court that Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani would argue for them in the case, while the state counsel submitted that another noted apex court lawyer Harish Salve would plead on behalf of the Bihar government.
Earlier, the Bihar government had filed an appeal against the acquittal of Lalu-Rabri duo by the special court in the disproportionate asset case in December 2006.
