Hatching his dream on a campable tree-house

Kannur, May 16 (UNI) Like an eagle's nest, Aneesh's dream house stands out from the rest -- literally dancing to the tune of blowing wind atop a huge tree.

Unlike other tree houses elsewhere, the one built by P K Aneesh at Odakkad in Koothuparamba, near here is perched atop a ten metre tall Kanjiram tree (Struchnos Nuxvomica).

Though it costs him only Rs 400, the tree house can accommodate four persons at a time.

''I am really enjoying my stay in the tree house for the past two months,'' he said, adding that it was a great relief for him and his friends from the summer heat.

It took two months for Aneesh and his friends to complete the unique tree house, which, they believe, could be replicated in tourist destinations across the country.

''Besides getting pure air to breath, it is almost like a swing on a windy day,'' said Aneesh.

Though it is safe in the event of an earthquake, he is bit scared of lightning.
