Haryana: DHBVN to set up 6,800 additional transformers
Chandigarh, May 16 (UNI) Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has chalked out an ambitious plan of installing 6,800 additional transformers during the current financial year in nine districts of the state.
The districts to be covered under the scheme included Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Mahendergarh, Rewari, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Mewat. Besides 4000 old transformers would also be replaced with high capacity transformers.
While giving this information, DHBVN Managing Director Vijender Kumar said a workshop had been set up at Hisar where 500 transformers would be repaired every month and during the current financial year about 6000 transformers would be repaired there.
He said during next two months, a workshop would also be set up at Faridabad where 500 transformers would be repaired every month.
With the setting up of these two workshops, the repair work of transformers would be undertaken with full speed and the burnt and old transformers would be replaced immediately.
