Government considering TNNAA for Sher Dhillon
New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) The government has received information that Indian youth Sher Dhillon-- accompanied by Mr Jason Lewis, an Englishmen-- has travelled on board a boat about 3000-Km across the Indian ocean from Mumbai to Djibouti during March this year and without sails and motor for 47 days, the Lok Sabha was informed today.
Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar said in a written reply the 'Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award (TNNAA)' has been instituted by the government in recognition of such achivements on land, air and water.
''And this achievement may be considered for the TNNAA award this year, subject to the completion of the required formalities,'' Mr Aiyar added.
