Four members of a family commit suicide over property issue

Mandya, Karnataka, May 16 (UNI) Four members of a family committed suicide over property issue in Naralakere village in Srirangapatna Taluk in the District last night.

Police said today that five members of a joint family, disgusted over recently married son's demand for his share of property, consumed poison mixed with milk. At 0130hrs the neighbours, after hearing cry due to stomach ache, rushed them to a hospital.

However, four people died and a woman recovering.

The deceased were identified as Chikamadaiah (65), Chikkatayamma (45), Devamma (50), Ningamma (70).

Police are investigating.
