Four members of a family commit suicide

Mandya, Karnataka, May 16 (UNI) Four members of a family committed suicide over a property dispute in Naralakere village in Srirangapattana Taluk in the District last night.

Police today said five members of a joint family, disgusted over recently married son's demand for his share of the property, consumed poision mixed with milk.

The neighbours, who heard their cries due to stomach ache, rushed them to a hospital. However, four members died while a woman was recovering.

The deceased were identified as Chikamadaiah (65), Chikkatayamma (45), Devamma (50), Ningamma (70).

Police are investigating.
