Fire Services personnel on indefinite stir

Puducherry,May 16 (UNI) The Fire Services personnel here today began an indefinite sit-in-strike to press their demands.

They were demanding among other things filling up of vacant posts in the department, granting promotions and higher pay scale for those who performed well and providing risk allowance.

They also held a demonstration before the Fire Service Department.
