Farmer creates flutter at AP Secretariat

Hyderabad, May 16 (UNI) A farmer today threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a tree at the State Secretariat, alleging that his land had been encroached by some political leaders.

Police said the farmer, Madhusudhan Reddy, hailing from Chittoor district, climbed atop a tree at the Secretariat main gate, demanding immediate justice.

Police convinced Reddy to climb down and later arrested him.

Earlier, Reddy met Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and sumbitted a memorandum urging him to hand over his 'encroached' land.

The same person had climbed up a tree on the Assembly premises during the budget session in March and created a flutter.
