CSL to soon launch Vitrified floor tiles

Ahmedabad, May 16 (UNI) Cera Sanitaryware Ltd (CSL) is poised to become a total bathroom solutions provider and will soon launch premium vitrified floor tiles in the market by July.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Vidush Somany, Executive Director of the company, said that other than the tiles ''we are providing all required items including the accessories for bathroom solutions''.

The twin flush model launched in India by CSL for the first time reduces the water needs of households considerably. Water Closets designed to flush in just four litres of water is another notable innovation by Cera Sanitaryware, he said.

Somany said that CSL has entered into a strategic partnership with Pozzi-Ginori, an Italian Designer Sanitaryware, which is a part of the Sanitec Group for importing premium sanitaryware and marketing it in India under the original brand name.

He said that CSL's plant located at Kadi in Mehsana District in Gujarat initially started with 3,600 metric tonne per annum had now the total plant capacity of 15,000 MTPA.

With the increase in capacity of the plant, the overall sales volume from manufacturing division alone is estimated to increase by thirty per cent in next financial year and a target of Rs 350 crore revenue yield by 2010 had been set, he said.

He said that Indian sanitaryware industry is estimated close to Rs 900 crore. Sanitaryware market is growing at a speed of 12-15 per cent and the trend is likely to improve further for the next five years due to increased spending in the residential and commercial housing sector.

''Currently, we are exporting five present of our products to Gulf countries, Africa and North America and will be extended to Australia, south africa'', Somany said.

To achieve growth in the rapidly changing retail market in the country, CSL has launched its one of a kind Cera Bath Studios in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Kolkatta, Cochin, Hyderabad and Lucknow and is about to launch one in Mumbai shortly.
