Allahabad: Criminals shot dead by security guards

Allahabad, May 16: Security guards of Collectorate Post Office shot dead two criminals while three others managed to escape.

According to police last night, five criminals on motorcycles came to Collectorate Post Office and in an effort to loot the cash opened fire, in which one security guard Ambika Prasad was killed while another received injuries.

In reply, the security guards opened fire in which two criminals were killed on the spot, while three others managed to escape.

According to reports, there were Rs 27 lakh in cash in the post and the guards were going to deposit them in the treasury when the incident happened.

Soon police were informed and senior police officials have reached the spot.

The criminals have not not yet been identified.
