Chouhan holds discussions in Silicon Valley
Bhopal, May 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is on a visit to the US, today held discussions with businessmen and investors at Silicon Valley.
The Indo-US Business Council and FICCI organised an interactive session at the San Francisco Bankers' Club, official sources said here.
Association of American Hotel Owners' Director Shailendra Sam Devdhara proposed investing Rs 500 crore in Madhya Pradesh's hospitality sector besides setting up 100 budget-plus hotels. ''I will accompany a delegation to that state,'' said Mr Devdhara.
During a one-to-one meeting, Urology and Oncology Research Centre Director Raj Dahiya expressed interest in setting up a ten million-dollar diagnostic centre in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister invited all those present to a Global Investors' Meet here in October. ''Madhya Pradesh is an example of industrial peace. Its ten universities and more than 65 professional colleges churn out lakhs of graduates, including 18,000 technical ones, annually,'' he said.
The North American Association of Madhya Pradeshis welcomed the Indian delegation, including state IT Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Commerce and Industry Minister Babulal Gaur.
