BJP burns Patil in effigy

Raipur, May 16 (UNI) The BJP's Chhattisgarh unit today burnt Union Home Minister Shivraj V Patil in effigy here during a protest demonstration against his statement, in the Lok Sabha yesterday, alleging that the state government was not cooperating in tackling naxalism.

Later addressing workers, party office-bearers accused the Centre's UPA regime of being non-serious against naxalism.

They claimed that Chhattisgarh's anti-rebel 'Salwa Judum' (Peace Mission) campaign was nothing short of a bugle call against extremism.
