Bank manager and postmaster sent to judicial custody in bribery case

Patna, May 16 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Radhey Shyam Prasad today remanded the branch manager of a nationalised bank and a postmaster to judicial custody in a bribery case.

Manager of Central Bank of India, Yogapur branch, Satish Kumar Sinha and postmaster of Uchriama post office of Gaya district were produced before the designated judge when he sent them to judicial custody till May 29.

According to the charges, the Bank manager demanded Rs 20,000 in cash to sanction a loan to a customer through the accused postmaster.

However, both were arrested at Gaya while accepting Rs 1,000 from the said customer.
