20 policemen booked for fake encounter

Lucknow, May 16 (UNI) Twenty Uttar Pradesh policemen have been charged with involvement in fake encounters in Ghaziabad district of the state.

In 2006, Sahibabad Police had gunned down one Badal in an encounter. Later, the state government ordered a CB-CID probe into the case.

The CB-CID has registered a case at Sahibabad police station, Ghaziabad against the 20 policemen allegedly involved in the fake encounter, police today said.
