2 more held in MLA assault case

Puducherry, May 16 (UNI) Police today arrested two more persons in connection with the legislator assault case.

According to Villainur Police, Aadimoolam and Muthu were arrested and a search was on for few others connected with the incident.

In the meantime, a group of MLAs called on the chief minister and speaker and urged stringent action against those who assualted Independent Legislator N S J Narayanasamy following which police arrested two others-- Senthil and Sakthivel.

They were proeduced before a local court and remanded to judicial custody.

It may be noted Mr Narayansamy, elected from Villianur constituency, went to a house to take part in a funeral where he was assaulted by a gang. Previous enemity was stated to be the reason for the incident.
