SC dismisses Vipin Khanna's application on passport seizure
New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) The Supreme Court today dismissed the application of Vipin Khanna requesting it to direct the Enforcement Directorate to deposit his passport with the Registrar of the Apex Court so that the CBI could not seize it.
The Enforcement Directorate had seized Vipin Khanna's passport during investigation into the 'Iraq-Oil for Food' scam based on the Volcker Committee's report last year.
Vipin Khanna emerged as a suspect middleman in the two defence deals -- Denel Case and Barak Missile Case.
