Eight wagons of goods train derail near Parbhani station
Nanded, May 15 (UNI) Eight wagons of a goods train derailed near Parbhani railway station today.
The goods train was coming from the railway yard and was heading towards Parbhani station when the derailment occurred at around 1500 hrs, Central Railway PRO S Madhekar said.
Due to the derailment, a number of trains have been either cancelled, rescheduled or diverted, he said.
The passenger trains that have been cancelled are Parli-Mutkhed, Nanded-Sikanderabad and Parbhani-Purna. Sikanderabad-Parbhani passenger train ran till Purna, and Daund-Nanded ran till Selu while Purna-Hyderabad express has been delayed by five hours. Instead of 0720 hrs, it left Purna at 1200 hrs, Dharmabad-Manmad express ran till Nanded instead of Manmad.
A special train was run from Nanded to Aurangabad.
Manmad-Dharmabad train was run from Aurangabad instead of Manmad.
Nanded-Bangalore Express left Nanded at 1030 hrs instead of 0600 hrs, while Nanded-Purna passenger ran five hours late.
Nandigram-Nagpur left at 1030 hrs instead of 0342 hrs. Mumbai Secunderabad express is running five hours late, while Amritsar- Nanded ran seven hours late, he added.
