Court rejects TRS MLA's bail plea in human traficking case

Hyderabad, May 14 (UNI) A city court today rejected the bail petition of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA K Lingaiah, who surrendered before the police after his name figured in the human trafficking case.

The XII Additional Metropolitan Magistrate denied bail to the TRS MLA. The court had completed arguments on the bail petition, filed by Lingaiah's counsel, yesterday.

The TRS MLA had surrendered before the police on April 27 after the Central Crime Station (CCS) Police, probing the fake passport scam in the State, filed a case against him.

The accused had confessed he met Rashid, alleged kingpin in the human trafficking case, who surrendered before the police on May three and received money from him. Lingaiah is in judicial custody.
